Join our activities team or attend activity courses...
Young people develop many Skills for Life through outdoor activities in our programmes - and our role at Tawd Vale Adventure Centre is to support Sections and Groups from Merseyside and beyond to offer every possible opportunity for adventure to our young people. We'd love you to get involved.
We are looking to expand the team of instructors that we can call on to support activities at Tawd Vale.
We currently offer air rifle shooting, archery, canoeing, high ropes, rafting and tomahawks as instructed activities on site but are very much reliant on volunteers to deliver these activities to our customers at the centre.
Although delivery of some sessions to Scouts requires a Scout permit, if you have a National Governing Body qualification this is still really useful as not all of the users of the centre are Scouts. The team at Tawd Vale are happy to offer every opportunity and support to those that would like to gain a Scout activity permit.
If you think you are already a member of the team please complete the form below so that I can ensure we have up-to-date contact details, and if you would like to join the team please complete the form.
We will support any adults that would like to expand their activity leadership skills, by offering courses at a reduced fee or financially supporting you to attend relevant courses elsewhere. This will probably look something like a pay-back scheme where you fund external courses initially, and we repay this back after you have run a certain number of sessions for us, depending on the activity.
In 2019 we are planning to offer a high ropes course at Tawd Vale so that adults can deliver the Gladiator, High All Aboard and Monkey Trees, and a tomahawks course. We would like to gauge interest in attending these at this stage before we arrange them.
> If you would like to attend either course, please complete this form.
Thank you for your time and support.
