We hope everyone had a great time at Feast of the Lanterns. With autumn firmly here it's time to start thinking about Christmas!!! This year we are hosting our first ever Christmas Capers; a day of adventurous activities, crafts, a visit to Santa (receive a gift) and lots more... Celebrating 90 years - looking back...
2020 will see Tawd Vale celebrating 90 years since the first Scout camps at the centre. We are keen to celebrate this by developing a number of information boards (one for each decade) to display around the centre during the year and beyond. We are currently looking for any memories or information about the centre from the past that we can collate onto these boards. Ensuring that Tawd Vale is the Centre of Adventure for many thousands of young people every year is a large task, and one that our Centre Manager cannot achieve alone. We're looking for adventure seeking volunteers to join our existing team, across a number of rewarding and fulfilling roles. The County Executive Committee and Tawd Vale Steering Group are responsible for the governance of the Centre and will take responsibility for strategic plans. Young people develop many Skills for Life through outdoor activities in our programmes - and our role at Tawd Vale Adventure Centre is to support Sections and Groups from Merseyside and beyond to offer every possible opportunity for adventure to our young people.
